ADD: David Clarkson

When you have more goals than the 10 million dollar man (One more but still) you are doing something right. Playing with Parise doesn’t hurt your ability to tickle the twine either. He is rolling along with 14 goals on the season, and with 3 in his last 4 he doesn’t seem to be slowing down. I know it’s hard to want to go to the well and reel in a Devil for offensive support, and believe me I don’t blame you for hesitating. Growing up watching the Devils bore their way to Cups in the 90′s with the trap you don’t imagine many goals coming from the men in Red… but David Clarkson doesn’t care what you imagine.

Clarkson is on pace for for 30 goals… only 8 assists but 30 goals is a pretty number. Another appealing number is his PIMs total. He has a cool 70 minutes logged in the cubicle and that number is sure to climb with Clarkson being the tough guy he is. In terms of ice time, Clarkson logs around 15 minutes or more per game, more than enough to make his presence felt.

So lets think about it: the guy gets goals and then sits down and enjoys the view from the solitude of the penalty box. Not a bad gig and not a bad pickup.
