#4 Bobby Orr Autographed Boston Bruins Home Jersey.
“Bobby Orr is considered one of the greatest hockey players of all-time. The smooth skating defenceman played 10 seasons with the Boston Bruins and two with the Chicago Blackhawks. Orr won the James Norris Trophy for best defenceman eight consecutive years from 1968 to 1975 with the Bruins. Orr won many other awards during his NHL career including two Art Ross Trophies for leading the league in scoring, a Calder Memorial Trophy for rookie of the year, three Hart Memorial Trophies for league’s most valuable player, and two Conn Smythe Trophies for most valuable player in the playoffs on route to his two career Stanley Cup Championships in 1970 and 1972.
Orr was forced into early retirement at the age of 30 due to repeated knee injuries. Orr had over a dozen knee surgeries during his career, but was unable to solve the problem. His knees would limit his career to only 657 games. Orr scored 270 goals and 915 points placing him in 92nd in career points. With an impressive 1.393 points per game average, Orr ranks fourth all-time only behind Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Mike Bossy, who were all forwards. The Bruins’ organization retired Orr’s #4 on January 9th, 1979 and Orr was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in the same year.”
