Matt Duchene Signed Avs Jersey

“#9 Matt Duchene Autographed Colorado Avalanche Home Jersey. David stopped into the Sportschek in Haliburton, Ontario on his way up to camp only to find Haliburton’s hometown NHL stars Cody Hodgson and Matt Duchene giving an autograph session. David jumped at the opportunity and asked his Dad if he could get a Duchene jersey and luckily his dad said yes. This was the summer after Duchene was drafted 3rd overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche.

Duchene made the transition to the NHL right away and had 24 goals and 55 points in his 81 game rookie season. The talented rookie was named a Calder Trophy Finalist for his excellent start to his NHL career.

This season Duchene is off to another one of his notorious slow starts, but has been turning it on as of late. In November Duchene had seven goals and four assists and leads the Avalanche with 18 points in 25 games. One of his nine goals on the season is an early front runner for the goal of the year which you can see here on MindPuck if you missed it. Look for Duchene to continue his increased production in December.”
