I was thinking today that I really needed a new Lew’s Feature post to keep the MindPuck momentum rolling. I’ve mostly been making highlight posts recently and wanted to write something original to change it up. Thankfully, I have some pretty hilarious friends to send me videos on Facebook. MindPuck fans, meet Ira Zucker – probably the 2nd most interesting man in the world.
His team? Montreal. His secret? He’s smart. His bread and butter? Trailer Park Boys.
Ira is a buddy of mine from Ivey at Western. He has since shed the mullet and stache, but he remains a die-hard Montreal Canadiens fan.
Ira is a good natured Habs fan despite the team’s recent struggles. Rather than complaining, he embraces his team’s faults and laughs at their misfortunes. Scott Gomez Can’t Put Anything In is a hilarious hockey song that Ira sent me, sung by a Canadian band named The Insomniacs. On their YouTube channel, The Insomniacs describe themselves as ”a group of five guys from Montreal, Quebec who decided to write songs about their college experiences and greatest love: hockey.” Best channel description ever.
I absolutely died laughing at this video – the combination of funny visuals/interviews/lyrics is creativity at its finest. It picks up at 0:45 but watch it from the beginning and trust that it’s awesome.
Cheers to Ira and The Insomniacs for helping me out with this post!
