Trevor Linden played 19 seasons in the NHL playing 1506 games and posting 966 points. In 2008 he retired on June 11th 20 years to the day of when he was drafted 2nd overall by the Canucks. Linden is one of the most beloved Canucks of all time and holds the nick name “Captain Canuck.” Linden was named captain first at the age of 21 and went on to play 16 of his 19 seasons in two stints with the Canucks. The Canucks honoured one of their greatest players of all time by retired Linden’s #16 on December 17, 2008. Linden will always be remembered for his heart and leadership on and off the ice.”
