- Boston at Pittsburgh -
After Tukka Rask went down with a groin injury last week, the Boston Bruins went out and signed veteran goalie Marty Turco. Unable to receive a contract offer since becoming a free agent at the end of last season, Turco had not played a game yet this year but made his return last night in relief of Tim Thomas. Turco showed no signs of rust making a spectacular cartwheeling save on Jordan Staal to keep it within reach for the Bruins. Turco played well stopping 17 of 19 shots but the damage had already been done and the Penguins won the game 5-2.
