#99 Wayne Gretzky Campbell Conference All-Star Jersey.
“Wayne Gretzky played in the All-Star game every year of his career minus the 1987 and 1995 All-Star games, which were cancelled due to the Rendez-Vouz ’87 and an NHL lockout. Gretzky holds six All-Star records to date.
1. Most All-Star game goals in a career with 13.
2. Most All-Star game goals in one game with 4 (tied with three others).
3. Most All-Star game goals in one period with 4.
4. Most All-Star game assists in a career with 12.
5. Most All-Star game points in a career with 25 (13 goals and 12 assists in 18 games).
6. Most All-Star game points in one period with 4 (tied with two others).
This jersey is from the mid 1980s when the NHL Conferences were named the (Clarence) Campbell Conference, which is now the Western Conference and the (Prince of) Whales Conference, which is now the Eastern Conference.
Gretzky won the All-Star game’s Most Valuable Player award three times, in 1983 as a member of the Edmonton Oilers, 1989 with the L.A. Kings, and 1999 with the New York Rangers in his last All-Star appearance.”
